My Students

If you stepped into my second grade classroom you would see a community of wonderfully diverse learners.

We love to learn together.

My goal is to create an environment where students continue to be excited about learning, and I want to make sure I am providing every opportunity for that to happen.

My Project

My students all agree that learning math is much more engaging when they can be hands on. These tools will provide support for my second grade mathematicians when they are learning at home.

Many of the top favorite math games and activities in my classroom involve two versatile tools: dice and a deck of cards!

If my students have these tools at home, they will be able to learn and have fun at the same time. We could even learn to play math games virtually! My students will also be able to build their number sense and fluency by having their own set of Unifix Cubes to explore at home. Having these tools will make math more accessible for all.
