This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have 20 amazing 5/6 year old students who are excited and eager to come to school everyday to learn. They work hard to build our classroom community of learners who care deeply for each other in a safe learning environment. My students love finding out how things work through hands on projects.

My Project

Now that distance learning has become the new normal, my students do not have access to many of the materials we use in our classroom such as: teddy bear counters, cubes, glue sticks and other materials.

With the requested materials, I will be able to make Math and ELA "Take Home Bags" for each student to have during this time.

My students will be able to participate in the activities using the materials, and feel successful.

These "Take Home Bags" will ensure my students remain engaged and continue learning at home during remote learning, and a way for me to teach them.
