Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a bilingual kindergarten teacher. To me teaching is truly a work from the heart. I am privileged to come to work to learn through play and exploration with my students. My students are enthusiastic bilingual learners. Our classroom is print rich in multi-languages to stimulate the varied learning styles of my inquisitive learners. Being bilingual allows my students to see their world through a unique and diverse looking glass. I am honored to be teaching and molding these beautiful minds. My students are enthusiastic learners that tackle new challenges seriously, eagerly and with a positive attitude.
My Project
The sudden closure of schools nationwide due to the devastating COVID-19 pandemic has left many of my most vulnerable students scared and confused at home. They are filled with questions and uncertainties. I know my students miss their classroom, their friends and their teacher. I miss and worry about them every day.
All over the world teachers have "all hands on deck" to ensure continuity in learning by providing meaningful and rewarding digital learning experiences for our students.
I have launched access to my GOOGLE CLASSROOM to support students and families. My digital classroom is filled with engaging interactive activities. However, many of my students will not have the access to my engaging digital classroom because they simply do not have an electronic device. Help me provide a bridge to digital learning through an electronic device.
Samsung tablets will bring the joy of learning from my digital classroom into their homes. In these unprecedented times, it is essential to maintain children engaged in order to maintain a continuity of learning through teacher created interactive digital activities.
