This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are 7th and 8th graders at a dual-language school in Boston. My students have been taught in both English and Spanish since kindergarten. They are very thoughtful and constantly diving into learning while taking on leadership in the classroom. They love to explore new ideas, cultures and concepts each and every day. I am lucky to explore with them through my Humanities course. They are a wonderful group of students that see their individual success wrapped up in the success of others in the class. They work together and are extremely compassionate.

My Project

My students need a new projector to display work, current events videos, my daily slideshows and other educational tools. I am currently borrowing a projector from the office and it would be great to have our very own in class. Many of our students are visual learners and displaying the lessons and their own work supports their learning on a daily basis.

A projector will enhance their learning experience.

The projector will ensure that we have regular access to displaying student work and other useful classroom videos, images and necessary visual supports.
