Help me give my students a display case. HOSA students have worked very hard to place at state. This past year our HOSA Chapter was awarded the Gold Chapter plaque and have multiple plaques and medals to display.
My Students are freshmen and sophomores who dream of one-day becoming health care professionals to serve those in need. When asked why they want to become a healthcare professional the most common response is, "I want to help others." Our Biomedical Science course is designed to give our students the opportunity to explore a variety of medical fields through the lens of case studies. These case studies are patients for whom they must keep a medical record as they navigate the possibilities of why they may be ill.
Our community is a border town where the majority of the community is of low socioeconomic status.
Many of our students are first-generation college-bound students. They dream of pursuing careers in the healthcare fields to help others so we begin that now in our small community. My students become involved in community projects to bring health care awareness to our community throughout the year. They work hard and compete in HOSA Future Health Professionals and have represented the state of Arizona at the International Conference for the past 8 years.
Every year students work hard to succeed in their HOSA competitions. Over the years our chapter has earned multiple silver and bronze medals. While the gold alludes us, we don't give up each year. This past year, our chapter was awarded Gold Chapter, Outstanding HOSA Chapter, 2nd Place Donate Life Challange, NPCF Recognition and multiple medals.
The goal is to display the various plaques and medals HOSA students have earned to Encourage and Motivate student to earn more.
The display case will house all the awards right next to the smart board in the classroom. Seeing the awards and medals their peers earned in the past will hopefully motivate students each year to work toward the same goal.
