Through these texts, students learn how to run organized meetings, introduce motions, debate respectfully, and make decisions using formal parliamentary procedure—the same system used by professional organizations, government bodies, and leadership groups.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is very hands-on. Students use the books as a reference while practicing mock meetings and solving parliamentary challenges. They highlight important rules, look up procedures during practice, and apply what they read in real time as they rotate leadership roles such as chair, secretary, and parliamentarian.\r\n\r\nThese books are especially exciting for younger students who were inspired by our team earning 3rd place in the world at the 2025 HOSA International Leadership Conference. They now see these resources as the starting point for their own journey in leadership and competition.\r\n\r\nThanks to our donors, these books will continue to support many future HOSA teams, helping students build confidence, critical thinking skills, and leadership that will benefit them long after high school.","fullyFundedDate":1758636672961,"projectUrl":"project/mastering-leadership-equipping-future-c/9510149/","projectTitle":"Mastering Leadership: Equipping Future Champions with Robert’s Rules of Order","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Alonso","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3584859_orig.jpg?crop=459,459,x110,y72&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1773627354878","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/m-alonso"},{"teacherId":8358798,"projectId":9045302,"letterContent":"Thank You! Your Donation is Elevating Student Videos and School Spirit!\r\n\r\nOn behalf of the students in Ms. Rojas' Film and Tv class, I want to extend our deepest gratitude for your incredibly generous donation. Your support has transformed our program and, more importantly, provided our students with truly professional opportunities and tools that were previously out of reach.\r\n\r\nThe amazing items you helped us acquire such as the new audio gear and dj equipment have had an immediate and dramatic impact. Our students' videos have literally improved tenfold! They are now able to capture professional-quality sound, and provide dynamic sound to the school community during school events such as pep rallies.\r\n\r\nYour donation has done more than just improve video quality; it has instilled a new level of confidence and professionalism in our students. They are no longer just learning theory, they are working as a real production crew. They've been given the opportunity to set up and manage the media for major school events, taking their skills out of the classroom and into a high-stakes, real-world environment. We have had two Pep rallies now, one after school and community based and one during school. at those events our student team used the equipment to DJ for and video the crowd, capturing the energy of the school and providing high-quality visuals for everyone to enjoy.\r\n \r\nThis experience is invaluable. They are learning about technical setup, live-event problem-solving, and collaborating under pressure, skills that will serve them well in any future career.\r\n\r\nYour investment in our students is an investment in their future. Thank you for believing in their potential and for giving them the tools to create, lead, and shine.
