Help me give my students ukuleles for our music class so we can continue learning with a covid friendly instrument! The baritone ukulele also transitions easily for students interested in guitar.

My Students

My students are creative, talented, and eager to learn. Many of them have chosen on their own to take music class and they want explore more ways of developing their musical abilities. I have several talented singers in my class, as well as many who have learned drums, guitar, voice and piano. I'm excited about the possibility of learning an instrument together and seeing how good we can get at it!

My Project

Ukuleles are the perfect instrument for a class to learn. They do not require blowing, so they can be used inside our music classroom. They are portable so we will also be able to take them outside when the weather is nice. These instruments are the perfect solution for our current situation!

We will learn chords and quickly learn to play songs.

There are so many possibilities when the world of songs played with chords are opened up to our students! We will start with some easy songs like, You Are My Sunshine, and move to harder songs that the students will really enjoy, example Disney songs or songs from favorite movies.

These baritone ukuleles easily transition to guitar because the strings are the same. It is a simpler instrument than the guitar because it has 4 strings instead of the 6 on guitar. I believe even students that do not know much about music will be able to learn on these instruments and will also thoroughly enjoy the process. These instruments will be use by hundreds of students in the coming years.
