My Project

We have amazing non-fiction books in our library, and an especially great variety of biographies...but, they're difficult to find without adult help. Our library should be for ALL our students, and the books should be easy to locate for kids, not just adults.

Books organized in tubs will help kids discover new interests and also provide easier access to finding more information about curiosities they already have, including racial and social justice, and equity.

This project will start in the biography section, taking the books and arranging them by accomplishments and making room for forward-facing books. From there we will move into other areas of the non-fiction section and create tubs of topics that are easy for kids to navigate.

By funding this project you will also help us highlight changemakers! We can provide students easy to access areas where they can read about people that fight for social and racial justice, equity, and peace. I have students asking for this and are interested in it, please help me provide it!
