This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students' last unit will be reading various novels in small groups. They typically love this part of the year as they combine all the skills and strategies they have grown with all year, and get to read a novel of choice with some of their peers. This unit will culminate with creating a diorama about an important scene from the novel.
These supplies will give my juniors the materials they need to create their dioramas.
Having the supplies needed helps my students succeed, but it also offers me more time to work with my students to do their best work instead of scrambling to find box tops or paint or whatever else they may need.
