Digital & Printed Resources for Preschool Speech Therapy

Help me give my students digital and printed resources that can be incorporated ASAP, as well as when we return to school in-person to make our transition as smooth as possible!

My Students

My speech therapy students have a huge range of needs, from articulation to Autism Spectrum Disorder, and everything in between. They are primarily in self-contained special education or Head Start classrooms, and I have the pleasure of working one-on-one with them in our speech therapy sessions. These preschool kiddos face challenges both at home, and at school, but always show up with bright smiles and tons of energy! They keep me on my toes, and make me laugh daily. It is the honor of a lifetime to help them say their first words, make their first friends, and learn how to succeed in their first classroom!

My Project

Keeping a preschooler with special needs engaged for a 30-minute speech therapy session can be tough! I've had to get creative when trying to target language, articulation, and social goals via tele-therapy. I've found a lot of success mailing or dropping off laminated materials that match the digital resources I'm using in our virtual sessions. This allows my students to have physical flash cards, books, or picture schedules to support their engagement and keep them motivated.

Introducing new flash cards, games, and interactive digital/printed materials each week helps keep our therapy sessions fun and engaging-but it's hard to keep up on my own!

Your donation will help me add new materials to my resource library, and help me print/laminate individualized materials for my students. I plan to print materials, send them home with students via mail or drop-off, use the corresponding games/materials in our digital sessions, and use them in our therapy classroom when it's safe to return to in-person learning! These materials will make our digital therapy sessions more fun and personalized, and will also make our eventual transition back into the classroom as smooth as possible!
