See what Mrs. McCargo is requestingMy students need to create digital portfolios. With the purchase of a tablet, students can create digital portfolios of their work for their parents, the teacher, and themselves instead of throwing out their fantastic work.

My students are Rising Stars. With each level of mastery they rise higher and higher to reach their dream. Our students come from an urban school district with many challenges. Some challenges are low income, foster care, and deceased parents.
I teach mathematics to all fourth grade students and was surprised when I found that forty two out of sixty five students came into my math class on second grade level.
We are currently using mobymax.com to help bridge the gaps of learning and build fact fluency mastery. We also use a program called ten marks. Threw using ten marks, students were able to track their level of mastery and use Jam Sessions to sharpen their skills. Students love sharing their growth, projects that their doing and mathematical reasoning. We use an internet tool called classdojo.com. This tool allows me to communicate to parents and the school community all the wonderful work the students are doing. It also helps me to communicate to parents information that can help students rise to their fullest potential.
I would love for each student to have a tablet to share their wonderful work, but by starting out with one tablet each student can be highlighted daily through classdojo.com. Currently I share class stories through my cell phone. I take pictures or videos of the students learning, demonstrating their logic, or showcase their class projects.
These materials will help students to share their wonderful work, their mathematical reasoning, and ask any questions they may have to their school community.
Through the online program classdojo.com students will be able to share their digital portfolio with the school community, their family, and district showcases.
