What was once the occasional use of technology in the classroom has now become a central part of the learning experience. Today's students have been exposed to digital devices from a very young age, and technology has become second nature to them.\r\n\r\nIn our school district, each student is provided with a Chromebook, a charger, and a carrying case. However, one essential item is consistently missing: headphones. While some students bring their own from home, many do not, creating a gap in access that impacts their ability to fully engage with their digital learning tools.\r\n\r\nThough headphones may seem like a minor detail, they are actually a critical component of effective digital learning. They allow students to listen and comprehend instructional materials without distraction. For students who need additional support, headphones make it possible to have text read aloud, helping them achieve success at their own pace. Even when not in use for audio, simply wearing headphones can help block out background noise, allowing for better focus during independent work.\r\n\r\nHeadphones give every student the chance to immerse themselves in a dynamic, interactive learning environment—one that mirrors the digital world they already navigate with ease.\r\n\r\nWe are truly grateful for your generosity. Thank you for helping ensure that every one of our students has the tools they need to succeed—without missing a step in their learning journey.","fullyFundedDate":1738621734533,"projectUrl":"project/amplifying-education/9003398/","projectTitle":"Amplifying Education","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mungiello","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5207902_orig.jpg?crop=484,484,x0,y6&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1685716011485","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5207902"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_81063","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":528,"numTeachers":48,"percentFrplEligible":70,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":47,"percentWhite":6,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":43,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.5,"schoolId":81063,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Edward T Bowser Senior Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Edward T Bowser Senior Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/east-orange-school-district/edward-t-bowser-senior-elementary-school/81063"}
