My Project

This project will equip our Business Applications and Digital Literacy students with USB microphones, acoustic foam, and monitoring headphones to produce professional audio projects. Using tools like Audacity and Vocaroo, students will learn essential digital communication, audio editing, and vocal recording skills.

By creating low-cost desktop recording spaces, our classroom will transform into an active media production lab where every student can build confidence and share their voice.

In today's digital world, effective communication goes far beyond written text—it requires mastering audio, digital media, and vocal expression. In our Business Applications and Digital Literacy classes, students are developing practical career skills that prepare them for future academic and workplace success. To build on our video and broadcast curriculum, we are expanding into spoken-word media production through podcasting, audio editing, and voiceover work.

While high-end studio gear can be cost-prohibitive, we are implementing a smart, scalable classroom setup using budget-friendly USB microphones, simple monitoring headphones, and DIY desktop acoustic foam booths. Using free software like Audacity and Vocaroo, students will work in small teams to record, edit, and publish audio projects including informational podcasts, career interviews, digital advertisements, and voiceover narrations.

Your support will directly provide the hardware needed to make our classroom studio a reality. These tools will allow students to practice clear vocal communication, gain hands-on technical skills in audio engineering, and collaborate effectively.
