Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students arrive at school ready and eager to explore the world around them through books. My students come from a low-economic community.

Our school offers free breakfast and lunch to all of our students.

They have experiences and have learned lessons in life that many of the adults I know have never experienced. The classroom is their safe place where they come to learn. Our school is also very limited in the supplies and curriculum resources they can provide for our classroom. That is the reason I seek out and provide as many of the resources I can for my students. The look on their faces when they learn something new or they can see beyond the four invisible walls set up around the neighborhood is priceless!

My Project

Providing resources students can use to practice the skills being taught has been very difficult during this pandemic. The digital resource that has allowed them to practice the skills I am teaching them is through SeeSaw activities. They can also play games at home that will help them improve their knowledge through resources provided on TeachersPayTeachers.

This project will give me enough credit to provide games and activities they can use at home for the rest of the year.
