This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Many of you use technology in your everyday life. For some children, they have never experienced using technology outside of a school computer lab. Many students in my classroom are English language learners, yet technology leaps boundaries over language difficulties. Help us take a leap!

Technology is the way of the future.

It's amazing to see what children can learn when given the window to explore. Bringing technology into our classroom will open that window for my students. They will have the opportunity to connect with modern technology in today's society and to explore the curriculum that we are learning. At a Title I school, many of my students do not have access to a technology outside the classroom. We need technology that will just belong to our class for use during math groups, reading workshop, and research projects. Our class contains students of all learning abilities. Each excited to grow and learn.

My Project

I am requesting 2 Kindle tablets for my students. Many of my students have difficulty learning due to learning disabilities or being English language learners. Fortunately, technology is universal. The kindles will be used in our reading workshop, so that struggling readers can have books read to them to make connections between hearing the words and reading them on the page. Additionally, average and exceeding students will be able to read materials that are at a higher level, but not available in the classroom. These kindles will open doors to endless wonder for my students. I hope that you will help us become techie readers in this new age.

Remember the students of today will be the leaders of tomorrow.

We need our future leaders of the world to be prepared in every possible way. Help us prepare by developing our reading and math skills. Thank you in advance.
