Every student was fully engaged, and their imaginations came alive in ways that left me amazed day after day. From tiny creatures to wild inventions, they approached each piece with joy, focus, and a sense of pride that only hands-on creation can spark. It was truly magical to watch their ideas take shape in wool and color.\r\n\r\nThis learning opportunity simply would not have been possible without the materials funded through Donors Choose. Your support did more than supply tools - it opened a door to creativity, confidence, and curiosity for every one of my students. Thank you for believing in their potential and for investing in an experience they will remember. Your kindness made a lasting impact in our classroom, and we are deeply grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1747387442525,"projectUrl":"project/the-wilding-workshop/9352698/","projectTitle":"The Wilding Workshop!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Adamczyk","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2989312_orig.jpg?crop=522,522,x17,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1689771663139","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2989312"},{"teacherId":2989312,"projectId":7512188,"letterContent":"My students were absolutely thrilled when they first saw the variety of new clay materials, eyes widened, hands reached out eagerly, and joyful chatter filled the room. For many of them, it was their first time working with such high-quality and diverse 3-D materials, and they dove in with curiosity and enthusiasm. We explored different techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab-building, and students created everything from miniature animals to expressive abstract forms. These kinds of connections, to their ideas, their peers, and themselves, are what make clay so special.\r\n\r\nIn our Title I school, where resources can be limited, having access to such rich and tactile materials gave students a wonderful opportunity to experience learning through touch, movement, and spatial awareness. Working in three dimensions allowed students to make meaningful connections between ideas and materials, and between themselves and others. The act of shaping something with their hands encouraged collaboration, problem-solving, and deep engagement. These experiences help build not only artistic skills but confidence, communication, and a sense of belonging.","fullyFundedDate":1699494042822,"projectUrl":"project/sculpting-our-way-to-creative-success/7512188/","projectTitle":"Sculpting Our Way to Creative Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Adamczyk","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2989312_orig.jpg?crop=522,522,x17,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1689771663139","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2989312"},{"teacherId":3615297,"projectId":8094964,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our students are now actively using the new soccer and basketball goals during recess, PE, and even as part of classroom incentives. We've incorporated these resources into our school's positive behavior system, where students earn extra playtime for showing leadership and teamwork. One special moment was during a recent math lesson where students applied geometry skills by measuring angles and distances while shooting basketballs. This hands-on activity not only made learning fun but also showed students how math connects to the sports they love.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new goals being set up, their excitement was impossible to miss—cheers, wide smiles, and even a few joyful dances broke out on the playground. For many, this was their first time having access to quality sports equipment at school. Every day, we encourage our students to bring the same teamwork, respect, and effort they show on the court and field into the classroom and beyond. These resources have truly transformed not just recess time, but also how we build community and character in our school. I serve roughly 80 multilingual students this year and they will be using these headphones to participate in e-learning games, personalized online learning platforms, and multilingual student testing. They all must take an English proficiency test called the ACCESS test. This test requires students to listen through headphones and speak into a microphone to answer questions to show their English-speaking proficiency. Students need the headphones with integrated microphones to do this. In class, students use the headphones to learn and practice their English language and literacy skills on their personalized computer programs. The headphones help them keep their learning private, so they feel at ease while learning. These headphones are going to make a positive impact on the students' academic and English proficiency goals.
