My students need access to the digital global world. ALL my students. A Kindle Fire 7 will provide the resources to learn: literacy, app functioning, digital searches, graphic design, photography, and cultural history.
Our school is a neighborhood school and most of the children not only attend school together but participate in sports and/or after-school activities together.
The students at my elementary school are exceptionally deserving in so many ways.
Many of my students' parents are affiliated with the military so we are used to our classmates coming and going throughout the year all over the world due to deployments and transfers. In some cases students move away and return when a parent is stationed here again.
ALL my students need digital fluency and become fully functioning global citizens. They will: take pictures of their art and other images, do digital searches, learn to read in the process, learn graphic design, etc. Many of my students have never been to the beach, and we are only 20 miles from it. The Kindle Fire 7 will support my 555 art students (half from military family backgrounds) gain the skills they need for full success and growth in our visually global culture.
ALL my 555 global students will gain essential art and literacy skills: reading, digital searches, graphic design, photography, art history, app functioning, and more!
Your generous donation to our project will improve Parkwood Elementary so our students can compete and thrive in this global and digital age. This will change our students' lives for the better because they will love school more and feel success at an early age --- having fun while learning essential literacy and digitally inspired global fluency!
