My Students

Just like the Hawaii population, my students are unique and diverse. These children come from a group of learners where frequent 1:1 support and assistance are needed. They all thrive in a small learning environment where wait time and repeated instructions are vital for success. Teachers, EA, and students rely on visual aids for daily instruction.

The goal within this classroom is to be as independent as possible.

We are working toward life after high school, and our routine focuses on functional communication and daily living skills.

My Project

With summer quickly approaching, most of my Special Education students will not be attending Extended School Year. But utilizing Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will help me purchase digital tasks, which my students will have access to over the summer.

Giving my students the choice to practice tasks over the summer can help them retain daily living, communication, math, and reading skills.

When given the opportunity, my students can use these online tasks to be prepared for the upcoming school year. We hope you would consider donating to this project!
