Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our children are dreamers. They are eager and motivated to learn and come from families who are hard working and teaching their children the same motivation for learning. Many of our families fall below the national poverty levels. In addition, English is a second language for the majority of our families or they are bilingual households.
Every child deserves a great start.
Our children deserve no less than great. Our children are getting ready for Kindergarten, and it is our job to prepare them!
My Project
Our preschool outdoor play space has been lacking for a number of years. Our very old sandbox recently spent its last summer with us and it's time for a new one. My students love to play outdoors and it's my job to make sure it's both fun and educational. We not only need a sandbox but a place to store our materials, so that we can use them whenever we need them.

Help us take our learning to a new level so that we can get a great start for Kindergarten! All children like to discover, create and imagine; mine are no different! We want to be able to do this everyday and in every way! I believe there are opportunities for a child to learn in every place they go and I want to make this happen for them when they play outside, as well.
