Dig in and Explore!

Help me give my students hands-on science equipment and a microscope that will allow them to see details of the rocks and microorganisms that we study!

My Students

My students are full of life and energy. They love to be busy and to have hands-on experiences. They are active, and they need challenging and rich experiences to keep them engaged in learning.

I work in a charter school.

I teach a 7th and 8th-grade combination class. The class follows an elementary model, so I teach all subjects. After all of the online learning brought about by the pandemic, it is very important that the students have the opportunity to participate in hands-on science learning. Appropriate science materials are greatly needed. It is my responsibility to make sure that my students have a broad range of experiences that will help them see the possibilities for their lives down the road.

My Project

The microscope will allow my students to explore in detail the rocks, minerals, and single-celled animals that we study. We can use it as we study matter and chemistry.

Studying renewable energy by just reading is ineffective.

This kit will allow my students to delve into and learn by doing.

Reading and looking at pictures is great, but our students need deeper learning opportunities. These hands-on supplies will allow my students more meaningful opportunities to learn. In order to be ready for their future careers, the students should have the practical experiences that hands-on materials provide.
