My Students

Second grade is a wondrous place of learning that allows for new experiences every day! My students are eager, spirited, diverse, and unique learners who love to read. The students in my class come to school ready to learn and work hard because every day is a new day of opportunity. Over half of my students are from a diverse background and one third of them are economically disadvantaged.

My students need a classroom in which they are able to model themselves into dreamers, problem solvers, and global learners with the resources in our classroom!

My Project

Updating and introducing new math stations are crucial when we are working on all math topics. I use stations during math small group, they are such great documentation! I love to change out the stations every 3 weeks, which can add up to to having quite the number of resources. At the end of the year we will be working financial literacy unit. This is such an important topic for students to practice now, so they can be successful adults later in life. Our review unit at the end of the year is a huge hit, we spend days competing in teams over all of the topics we have learned.
