Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher of students with disabilities, learning in my classroom is different for all students. Each child’s learning abilities need to be tailored to them. Each child learns differently and as a teacher, it is my duty to create those tailored materials.

Differentiated materials in my classroom range from adapted books, adapted visuals to adapted communication boards that fulfill the needs of each student.

Students in my classroom will continue to have the opportunity to communicate and learn using the adapted materials that we create in the classroom. Every day we come up with new strategies to encourage learning in our classroom and new materials for them. The tangible materials that we create for them make a difference in their learning experience.
