This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am asking for a classroom set of up to date dictionaries for my class to start the next year with modern resources. The dictionaries I have now are out dated and missing words that re in our current list of vocabulary words. They are copyrighted from ...1986, they are literally as old as me!

Looking up words in the dictionary is becoming a lost skill in today's generation.

I believe in students learn more in looking up words rather than "googling" the definitions. They learn alphabetical order, sequencing, as well as using context clues to determine which definition is correct.

Please let me keep this skill set in their repertoire of skills needed to be a productive and resourceful students.
