Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first-grade class is composed of 24 eager and bright young minds. Our school is a Title I bilingual program school where a large number of students qualify for free or reduced-price meals and speak a language other than English. They come from different ethnic and social backgrounds. I have the privilege of educating inquisitive, thoughtful, and intellectually curious 6-year-olds.

My students love to learn and love to show others what they've learned.

Despite the challenges they face at home, I am eager to provide them with creative and meaningful learning experiences where everyone is heard and everyone is made to feel empowered and important.

My Project

I would love to instill a healthy lifestyle in my students through sports. I plan to get my girls and boys into shape and prepare them for track and field. I will use the jump ropes and swing balls to strengthen their legs and hip muscles.

The training my students will undergo will help prepare them to become elite runners.

Due to our current state of the pandemic, these resources will ensure each of my students will have their own materials to train at home.

The workouts we will conduct during our virtual learning will help my students to stay healthy and fit until we return to school.
