My Students

I have the unique opportunity to loop with a classroom from 2nd grade to 3rd grade this year. This gives the perfect chance to try something new and develop a classroom that aligns with my passion. My students are active learners who crave constant learning adventures, experiments, & challenges. They are full of curiosity and creativity, and eager to succeed. They are excited to be in the classroom and are consistently searching to find their passions.

My students demand to become 21st-century learners.

They live in a world where you can get answers to almost anything in an instant. What students do not understand is the enormous responsibility it can take to effectively discern the digital world. We are responsible for preparing these children for their career paths; their adult life. We must teach and foster who they are with the world they live in. To do this, I am asking for a class set of tablets so that each student has access to technology. In addition, I am asking for a Lego set so that our Lego table area in the classroom can be utilized to its full potential & for many classroom projects.

My Project

I am asking for Legos and a class set of tablets because I believe the best way to learn is through EXPLORATION and EXPERIENCE.

I am adapting my curriculum to allow for more experiential learning in the classroom.

Through creating a project-based learning environment, allocating 20% of our class time a week to exploratory learning, and equipping each student with a personal tablet, they will be challenged to conduct independent research, develop projects that align to their passion, and present their findings to their community.

As a teacher, I will greatly benefit from this experience by fostering accelerated and differentiated learning in the classroom. Seeing these beautiful children blossom in their own unique ways is Why I am a TEACHER.

The students will learn to be more self-confident, self-sufficient, responsible and effective learners. They become self-motivators, passionate achievers, and our next leaders. Through the use of technology and independent learning, we are empowering the workforce of the future.
