This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The introduction of daily editing journals offers my students a consistent opportunity to enhance their language skills and writing abilities. Particularly beneficial for our English language Learners, these journals provide daily language practice that fosters their language acquisition journey. By engaging in regular writing exercises, students become more familiar with English grammar, syntax, and vocabulary usage, improving their overall communication skills.
These journals also enable me to monitor each student's progress in English language acquisition, allowing for personalized support based on individual needs.
Through small group sessions, I can provide targeted assistance, ensuring that students receive the necessary guidance to succeed. Ultimately, the goal is to help our English language Learners reach proficiency levels that will allow them to reclassify as proficient language learners, empowering them to excel academically and confidently participate in English-speaking environments.
