My Students

Students at our school are described as the "hardest working students" as they have a great amount of perseverance despite facing challenges in their lives. Many of my students come from low-income families and trauma situations that make learning and social interactions difficult.

In light of the challenges that they face, they do not allow that to stop them from coming to school ready to learn and explore new knowledge!

Helping these amazing little people develop into inquisitive learners is an amazing experience every single day!

My Project

My struggling students are absolutely in love with the Scholastic Book Sets that a co worker gave me! They have devoured the set I have and are begging for more additions that we do not have! I have never had a group of students so invested in reading and can't wait to put more of these books into their hands! These books are perfect for my struggling readers who are normally hesitant to read. The book series I currently have has turned my small group reading instruction into a favorite part of their day. It is amazing to see my students develop a true love for reading!
