My Project
My students are a diverse group of learners with cognitive imparments. Because of their varying learning levels, collaborative learning and small group instruction are a key part of our day. Additionally, due to my students' specific needs there are times they need to have space to themselves to allow for self regulation.
I would like to give them tables to encourage them to work with their peers and allow them the option to move to a seperate space when needed.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work when they are given a choice of where to work.
Unfortunately, we do not have collaborative learning desks in our classroom to make this possible. By adding collaborative seating to our classroom, my students will have the ability to work with their peers while allowing them the option of having a space to themselves for self regulation.
