This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My sixth grade students are very motivated to learn new things using the computer. Our school is a Title I school that is always looking to improve our classrooms.

One of the main goals at our school is to bring better technology opportunities to our students.

Our school is very supportive of the different programs that our computer lab has to offer. We would like to expand our computer programs so our students will experience new and different technological activities.

My Project

We are requesting a Silhouette Cameo with card stock and vinyl sheets which will allow students to cut out designs they have created within the Silhouette software. Students will be able to cut their designs and transform them into 3D objects made out of card stock paper.

Having a Silhouette Cameo is a great way to incorporate Art into Computer Science.

Having access to a cutting machine is not something my students have experienced. They can create projects like they have never created before. Seeing how their creativity can come to life will for sure blow their minds! Students will be motivated to be more creative with their ideas and see what they can create.
