My Students

How do you help a student get ready for the "real-world"? Well, you sign them up for a Family & Consumer Science Class! In my classroom the students learn basics life skills that will help them in the future. In our interior design and fashion design courses we spend several hours working with different textiles that allow the students to become creative and out of the box thinkers.

It is not just a semester course, it is something the students use to transfer into their adulthood.

Learning from sewing a button to making a mask or even designing their clothing line. The students are taking design to the next level and they need your help.

The future is in my classroom, let's give them a head start to the next journey.

My Project

The Cricut press will allow students to design several items in the classroom using heat vinyl transfer. This will allow the students to think outside the box to design logos, shirts, textile projects and much more. Fabric scissors are a desperate need in my classroom. In order to have students understand the textile world, good fabric scissors are needed. My textile class continues to grow each year. Students at my school really ENJOY learning about interior and fashion design courses. Giving them all the tools I can will help make them succeed.
