This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My classroom is one that isn't seen in every school. I teach 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in an academic autism classroom in a Title I school. My students have been working hard to learn and challenge themselves to grow in their work, both academically and socially. My class is smaller in number, but we are always doing something to get better.
They need more help to get to the final outcome, but they are capable.
I am striving to get them what they need to get them interested in learning. Getting items to help make the room more friendly will be amazing. All students can learn. Our challenge is finding out how they learn!
My Project
In my classroom, we often fill in holes and have to give students help to understand grade level curriculum. These Teachers pay Teachers gift cards will allow me to purchase the items that will challenge them in class and for homework. They work often in gaining mastery. They might need more assistance that what we are given. I believe they deserve every opportunity they can get to be successful.
My students may have autism but autism doesn’t have them.
We are working and striving everyday to gain mastery in all content areas.
