My Students

Our school is very rural and labeled as a Title I school due our low-poverty status; governmental funding is very limited. The majority of our students receive free and reduced lunches and breakfasts.

Our students deserve the best because they are precious to all of our faculty.

Since we are a small school, students build relationships with the teachers and staff and rely heavily on us as positive role models.

There is nothing more fulfilling than when a student hugs you and says, "Thank you for caring about me."

My Project

The STEM projects in my cart will motivate students to investigate and design working models to promote growth. Students will build race cars from balloons and other materials and they will learn how to insulate a container to keep an egg from cracking. They will also learn to associate a number on a thermometer with actual temperatures from indoors and outdoors. Students will be able to see firsthand a weather forecast on a day to day basis; something they don't normally get a chance to see.

Students will work in teams to investigate, design, and engage in fun learning activities.The materials from Carolina Supply have everything needed to complete the designs freeing up time for more involvement with my students.
