Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students have been waiting for this series because they love the characters in these books. I always try and find a way to get students to enjoy reading. This project will help students become life long readers.

Reading is the key to success.

The students love coming to the library and seeing the books of their choice on the shelves. Many of them brag that I got these books for them. Even though, the books are for everyone. High school students are very reluctant to read because they spend so much time with technology. I try to get them to read 20 minutes a day to show them that they do have time to read.
