This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work at a year-round special education school where we serve emotionally disturbed, learning disabled, autistic, and other special education classified students. Our students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds in New York City. Over 95% of our students are eligible for free lunch, and more than 90% receive public assistance.

My students need an assortment of food items to refuel after gym class.

They need your help to avoid feeling "hangry" after working out. Most of my student's families do not have the means to provide snacks and meals. Any donation towards our project proposal would help us get closer to our goal, so we thank you!
