This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in a Title 1 school in Dallas, TX. We have a high population of ESL and low income students at Anne Frank Elementary. Unfortunately, the means to help our students experience real-world exciting things are lacking. The struggle that their parents encounter every day do not permit them chance to experience the simple things like going to the movies or going to a restaurant. Therefore, we would love to expose them to this incredible place, where they can learn.

My Project

We would like to have your support to take our students to visit the aquarium to learn about the aquatic ecosystem. How the living organisms cohabit it and how they depend on each other for their survival. Student will observe and record their observation and make connections with the curriculum they learn in class.

The aquarium features coral reef and kelp forest ecosystems in large naturalistic displays including a 20,000 gallon walk-through tunnel exhibit which is home to hundreds of Indo-Pacific fishes.

This will be an amazing hands on learning experience for my students. Please help me bring science to life for my students!
