My Project

Finding safety in your school day can increase your ability to learn. I would like to encourage and teach breathing techniques to help calm our mind and body to help us learn.

Classroom teachers have the unique, challenging, rewarding and sometimes difficult job of teaching students at all emotional levels.

I would like to give the teachers a tool to increase and encourage deep breathing to calm our minds before academics.

The "breathing ball" is an excellent tool to show the students how to breath deep from their belly. Research has shown that deep breathing can help students feel calm which creates safety and leads to better academics. I would like all students at Hillsdale Elementary to feel safe!
