This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first grade students are in a Title I school. They come into first grade far below grade level.

Decodable books will help me to get my students' reading as they build confidence and stamina using what they learned.

It is important to have the necessary materials to help my students practice their skills.

We lack books that allow our students to practice and feel successful. The decodable books will help fill that void.

Students that are successful in the lower grades become successful later in their academic career.
