DECA, Sweet DECA!

Help me give my students bulk candy to create a fun filled experience for DECA fundraising!

My Project

Our Title I school has started its very first DECA chapter! We are finding ways to raise money for travel and competition. My DECA students are also in my Marketing program, where they sharpen their entrepreneurship and management skills. Our students will package the bulk candy is put into the airtight baggies along with other items, creating a custom goodie bag to put out for donations. DECA is a business competition club that is open to all Jaguars. My students are able to get volunteer hours for this through the school district as well. This project gives us the ability to create our own inventory by creating customized labels and packaging, and repackaging the candy to their own bags for donations to secure our success at DECA competitions. The inventory listed is helping my students learn the importance of cost, profit, revenue, production and many more topics that are covered to further financial literacy as an entrepreneur and small business owner.
