My Project
I'll never forget way back in 1977 when an English Teacher assigned The Diary of Anne Frank to me as homework. I was reading it at the kitchen table and my mother explained to me that she had read the book as a seventh-grader also (in 1953). I think I even asked something like, "they had books way back when you were in school?" (I thought that she had learned everything from cave drawings).
Anyways, here it is 44 years later for me, nearly 70 for her and we both still reference this book.
Anne's story is something that every generation should experience. Yes, the ending is traumatic, however, it's a great way to show students the importance of journal writing even for just their own records. As always thanks for even considering a donation.
