My students are energetic, talented, and bright, despite their challenges. I am a teacher for three wonderful elementary deaf-blind students. They each love learning and exploring their environment.
The students enjoy their learning environment and have many friends and staff that support their learning.
Every day they come to school ready to learn with a great big smile on each of their faces. My students enjoy being in a public school that supports them for who they are no matter what their challenges are!
My Project
Four storage shelves will allow the students to access the materials they need for learning throughout the day. These shelves will contain their math, science, language arts, and social studies contents with manipulatives.
Each shelf will have a specific purpose, which is important for deafblind students to minimize confusion.
Having the storage shelves will allow the students to have greater independence by giving them a mental map of where the materials are located in the room. The students will be able to access the materials and come to their learning area ready to learn without confusion and greater confidence! Please consider giving to our class.
