This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students need glazes to execute color mixing skills and create pieces that are food safe and appealing. Our Ceramics program has grown from 10 students to over 200 students in 2 years. We need help supplying the students with adequate materials.
This project will allow students to create and mix glazes while fostering creativity and artistic abilities. Students will be able to create functional pieces that are sellable and learn the process of being a working artist.
My students are amazing because although they are at different levels and ages they all help each other and provide a safe classroom environment where creativity is supported and encouraged.
