My Students

I work with a group of sweet and motivated second graders. They are highly motivated and driven to do their very best in school. They love to learn about science and conduct hands-on experiments. My students love a good challenge...be it a tricky math problem or understanding a poem. I love helping them achieve their goals and explore the world around them. These city kids are excited to come to school each and every day and I am so pleased that I get to work with them!

My Project

My second grade students need a set of Dash robots so that I can help them code as part of my STEM curriculum. I attended a workshop on this really cool robot and would love for my students to be able to code the Dash robot to do some exciting things I learned it could do! My plan is for students to use their Dash robots with the Blockly coding app. I think it would work best in small groups, for students to enjoy during center time. It would teach them valuable problem-solving skills, as well as the basics of block-based coding, all while having fun!
