This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are special because they blossom with imagination. I work in an inner-city school system with students whose eyes light up when they are learning Computer Science. I teach K-5 Instructional Technology and Computer Science in an inner city school with a high poverty rate.

Do you remember when you were younger and you would tinker with everything?

You may have built something in your basement or taken apart something because you were curious what it did. I want to give that opportunity to my students. All students should have the opportunity to be the next innovator. You never know who is going to create the next new piece of technology. It could be a 10-year-old kid.

My Project

I am asking for two slightly different items. My first grade teachers really need a charging station for their BeeBots. They love them and use them daily, but charging them is really tough. This charging station will allow the students to charge them easily. The second item is a Kindle Fire. I recently received a Dash Dot and another robot to teach Computer Science to my students, but we don't have a device that we can use it on. Your support will help bring these different devices into our classroom. I can't wait to show this new robot to my students.
