Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school district has banned personal mobile devices, which is so, so good for the mental health of students. But also, now our hands are free, and we know the old saying about idle hands.

By funding this project, you will supply students with tactile tools for social-emotional learning, like play foam, slime, and stress balls, to distract their hands as they take in a mostly-new world around them.

As students look up instead of down, the craft supplies you fund, like paper punches, stickers, and charms, gives them the opportunity to create a space they feel safe in.

Now--more than ever--we need to practice critical listening but we no longer have access to our personal listening devices, your donation will provide students with earbuds to connect to their school laptops and a world larger than their own.
