What makes my students special is that they are all hardworking, reliable, and dedicated. They are very passionate about dancing. During their free time, you can find them in my dance room practicing their group and individual performances. They take pride in their accomplishments.
What makes me really love my job is when I see my students' eagerness to learn and desire to develop their skills in dancing.
It has been a great joy watching them grow as performers. The challenging and tiring day-to-day practices pay off in every one of their successful performances.
My Project
Dancing is great for students as they can get exercise and relieve stress. As they explore and learn to express their emotions through movements, students also benefit from these activities by developing their social-emotional learning skills.
The showcase of student choreography, that will be presented this spring semester, is designed to highlight student dance artists.
The concerts are student-choreographed, student-performed, and student-run.
Props and costumes are especially effective tools when used for dancing. Props and costumes are objects that dancers manipulate or use to enhance their dances. Dancers from all different cultures use props in many ways. They may be manipulated for many reasons for example, to exaggerate gestures, to create rhythms, to convey ideas or feelings.
