This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to put together a fun Father’s Day activity for our preschoolers. I’d like to get the books. I love you daddy so that we can discuss the importance of fathers and also when we don’t have fathers and being able to express emotions and feelings with adults and peers. This will help the children with expressing themselves, Understanding the importance of family and encourage her ability to verbalize her feelings. We can do the simple and small group so the children have the opportunity to express and continue to work on reading comprehension.

I’d like to be able to take a picture of the kids and then use crafts that we have at school to create a frame for the photo.

I need rocks and glue so that the children can be creative and decorate the frames that can be used during small group. I’d like to get some so that I can use it so can be hung up and glasses taken glasses. We will also be using the sharpies and acrylic paint to decorate the frames.

I like to also use this time to create a safe space for children to express himself who have lost a parent. And having the pop when someone you love has died would be agreed opportunity to open up discussion so that everyone in the classroom are acknowledged, and children are comfortable to express themselves emotionally in a safe space.
