Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a neighborhood elementary school, Horace Mann students make their way each day on foot or by car. Sometimes on a scooter, but rarely by bike.

I would love to give our kids a safe place to lock and store their bicycles during the day so that they have a opportunity to ride to and from school.

This promotes safe and healthy living for all our students - and staff as well! So many times when we discuss alternative transportation to school, parents and caregivers are hesitant to let their children ride their bikes because there is no place to store them. We could even start to promote a Horace Mann Bike Club!
