I have the best group of kindergarteners that you would ever want to meet! Year after year, I am amazed at the quality and character of the amazing kids that I am blessed to get to call students. Although most of them come from broken homes and deal with many circumstances that I cannot even begin to comprehend, day after day, I get to walk into my classroom and be greeted with smiling faces, positive attitudes, and I see their eagerness to learn.
My school is considered "High Poverty/ High Need".
However, we do not receive Title I Funding due to the high number of Title Schools in the area. Although I feel extremely blessed to be a teacher at my school, it is often financially draining because I am only supplied with 2 reams of paper a month and a $25.00 gift card at the beginning of the school year. We do not have a Math or ELA curriculum supplied to us, so most of my lessons are made by myself or I purchase them from TeachersPayTeachers.
My kids are very hands-on learners. They love anything they can roll, throw, or shoot. I would love to have Lakeshore Rollable CVC Dice, a Letter Crayons Word Building Center, and sentence building manipulatives to help them have fun learning to read!
The CVC dice are amazing!
The kids will work in groups of two or three to roll the dice and practice reading and writing the words. I love that the dice are color-coded by consonants and vowels. This will help the kids learn to put the vowel in the middle of two consonants.
Thank you for helping my kids learn to have FUN while reading! They will love these manipulatives!
