Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students with autism are brilliant, curious, and hands-on learners, but many standard classroom materials just don’t meet them where they are. Adapted books and differentiated activities turn abstract ideas into concrete, confidence-building experiences, yet creating these materials requires a lot of precise cutting and sturdy cardstock that can survive enthusiastic learning. A rotary self-sharpening paper cutter would be my behind-the-scenes superhero, letting me quickly and safely create clean, consistent materials that are easy for my students to handle, read, and revisit again and again.

With durable cardstock and accurately cut pages and pieces, I can design visual supports, task books, matching activities, and modified books that help my students practice communication, independence, and academic skills at their own pace.

These tools aren’t just paper; they’re pathways to understanding, self-confidence, and joy in learning. These materials will help cut out barriers and build up possibilities, one page at a time.
