Our students are a very diverse group that not only learn about science, technology, engineering, art, and math but also teach others in our community.
Our student's mission is to embrace innovation, apply science, and become technology leaders to inspire the next generation.
With a hands-on approach our students are engaging in exciting programs that build job skills and inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, community involvement, and leadership. My students see that they have options after high school to attend a four-year college or technical college and that they can succeed in a technology-driven world.
My Project
My students are involved in many hands-on projects for their own education and to help others. Currently, we have very limited methods to safely and efficiently cut our materials. Most of our projects are constructed of aluminum and having the right tool to cut the materials is a necessity.
Having the correct tool for the job is important to work safely and effectively.
This project includes a cut-off saw that is designed to cut metal. Cuts can be done quickly and accurately. This tool will help our students create quality projects and focus on the design and engineering process instead of struggling with cutting materials.
This saw will be used by students participating in FIRST Robotics, our community STEAM Fair, an ROV summer camp taught in cooperation with the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, and other class and school projects.
